Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year at Grant Elementary!! This year is going to be filled with a wonderful, positive learning environment for your third grader to thrive in, as they continue to grow and learn every day!
- Please use this website as a tool to read about what’s new in Third Grade and find out important information to help in making your child’s year a great one!
- Be sure to follow Grant Elementary on Twitter and Facebook to see pictures of all the fun things happening around our room.
- Also, your child will be receiving some usernames and passwords for online activities for Language Arts and Math. Please encourage and support your child’s on-going learning by assisting them in completing some of the fun online activities, games and homework assignments that align with what were learning each week!
- There will be many opportunities for parent involvement within our classroom and school this year! Please know how important and meaningful it is to get involved in your child’s education, our classroom and the school community. Consider coming in for a Holiday party, helping out with a Fundraiser or even joining our Grant PTC (Parent Teacher Council).
- As you may know, third graders are now more than ever assessed throughout the year. This year’s assessments will include: MAP online testing, Math AIR assessment and the Third Grade Reading Guarantee AIR assessment. Please continue to support your child’s education by helping them to prepare for these assessments and encourage them to always strive for their very best!
- Everyday your child will bring home a “Take Home Folder”. In this folder will be 2 pockets---1 pocket for papers to “Keep at Home” and 1 pocket for papers to bring to school the next day because they are “Homework”.
